Cat from Old Fairport Harbor Lighthouse

Some of the paranormal claims related to the Fairport Harbor Lighthouse are related to a mysterious cat that would either appear to those who visited the location. Some also reported hearing the cat, or "feeling something cat like brush up against them." When we took a tour of the lighthouse in those showed us a petrified cat that was found when they were adding air condition ducts to the keeper's quarters. Could this be the remains of the phantom cat that has been reported?
